I've purchased this mouse coming from a Deathadder, which is an absolute perfect mouse if you are an avid gamer. With the new 4G sensor, tracking seems to be pretty much fixed on the new Imperator. The only problem I am having currently is that the acceleration is automatically switching on. Once I figure out how to disable that for good or if there are new drivers out to fix this problem, I will have absolutely no complaints. Lightweight, ergonomic, most comfortable mouse I have ever used. Comparable to the MX518 I fell in love with a long time ago before it died.

Razer is improving their products.. if you haven't checked it out yet, go do it.

**EDIT** I was able to disable the auto acceleration through the software and the mouse is nothing short of perfect now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome mouse, November 4, 2011

Pros
-I have to say I haven't used too many of the gaming mice but this one is just awesome.
-I use it with a Razer Scarab Mouse Mat and it is very precise.
-Ergonomic design does make me feel comfortable.
-7 buttons are not really made for MMO gamers but I mainly play FPS so.
-I bought the Battlefield 3 version, the Battlefield soldier paint on it really brings the feeling of "being in the battlefield".
-Yes it has the super high DPI(6400) but I can't really think of any case to use it :P I mainly use the 1800 DPI setting for FPS gaming and 3500 DPI setting for general use.
-Threaded USB cable looks gorgeous.
-Thumb buttons are adjustable and after pull it toward me my thumb can just press them right on.
-When I lift it up and put it down on purpose yes I can notice the cursor jumping, but I never really noticed it in actual gaming.
-The driver software is excellent. All profiles saved in the mouse.

After years of using an MX500 series mouse from Logitech, I decided to see if I could find one I liked better. In the months that followed, I tried out a number of mice, including the RAT9, the Xornet/Spawn, the Vengeance M60, the G700, the Sidewinder, and the Mamba. I remember being very picky, but then I had to be in order to get the level of comfort I was used to. Anyway, I was about to give up when I happened upon the Imperator. I decided it would be the last one I'd try out - and it was. Still is!

While the last generation Imperator was superb, there was a tracking issue that kept rearing its ugly head while gaming. There were other little annoyances that I learned to live with, such as the slick plastic grip that felt oily until it became coated with dirt and dead skin from my fingers. The new 2012 version was a breath of fresh air that made me wanna shout from the rooftops after just a few minutes of use. As a gamer, I realize that gaming niche products are... Read more
