I prestiged to the 15th on Black ops and to the 10th on MW3(which are maxxed), that being said, I absolutely love Battlefield 3! If you are buying for the single player campaign mode from what I have read it is OK at best. I buy these FPS games for the multiplayer and that is where BF3 shines. If you are a Call of Duty gamer, you will probally hate this game at first, hard to aim and get kills when compared to CODs MW3 if you are accustomed to the fast pace arcade style warfare. Give it a few days and if you are like me you will get into the Battlefield flow and your game will start to improve. Both games are great in my opinion and after maxxing out MW3, I needed something new and BF3 hit the spot. The graphics and sound are probably the best even to date. The Single player is simply 'okay' This is not your typical run and gun FPS game. Find an experienced player to communicate with your microphone and headset. Yes, a MIC/HEADSET is a must! Without it you/and your team will get owned all day long. Remember, use the landscaping as cover and run out in the open only when you must. Snipers (recon class can pick you off from a mile away. Learn to hit the 'select' button on your controller before shooting enemies to 'mark' them. This game has everything for everyone. Multiplayer is where it is at. You have LARGE LARGE maps for vehicle combat. Or small maps for fast pace run and gun. Some of the larger maps take 5 minutes to drive from one end of the map to another, Forget about walking from your spawn point to your team objective on those maps.
