16GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card Reviews
58 of 60 people found the following review helpful Good card to be able to hold a few games, but pricey, = Fun: This review is from: 16GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card (Accessory) If you plan on using your Playstation Vita for game saves ONLY, then this is what the 4GB card is for. But let's face it, there will be people that want to revisit their PSP library, there will be people taking pictures, or putting their music on their vita to listen to with some games. For $16.99-20 bucks it's affordable, but it's the worst storage to price ratio, as expected. But, let's look at the size of the Vita games: Army Corps of Hell: 625 MB Asphalt: Injection: 765 MB(Demo is the same size) Ben 10 Galactic Racing: 968 MB *BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND: 3.33GB(Good luck fitting this game on a 4GB card, and be able to do anything else, Version 1.00 of physical media takes 2912KB) Disgaea 3 Absence of Detention: 2.05GB(Version 1.00 of physical media takes 4896KB) Doctor Who The Eternity Clock: 767MB Dungeon Hunter Alliance PSVita: 1.03GB(Cross Platform play with PS3 is not supported, Version 1.00 of physical media takes... These things are way too expensive, but whatcha gonna do...they're required. With that being said, the 4 and 8 gig are not going to be enough except for those who want nothing more then to save game data and maybe download 1 or 2 games/apps. I went with this one because I just couldn't bring myself to spend $100 on a memory card that's half the size of my fingernail. It should last me a while, but be warned that you're really only getting 14gigs of memory. 11 of 13 people found the following review helpful You may not like the price, but it does what it's supposed to., = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 16GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card (Accessory) First, a disclaimer: I've been gaming for 26 of my 29 years on this planet and I've seen just about everything the industry has to offer to the consumer market. This also means I've seen pretty much everything in Sony's bag of tricks so far, and none of it really phase me. Doesn't mean I like it, or that I'm for or against Sony, it just means I've been around this block before a few times now. That said, I hate to call attention to the fact that any one who decides to knock off points for the price of this card isn't being fair. Yeah, the price is steep on top of everything else you'll need to get the Vita going, but at this point it really shouldn't surprise you that Sony will pull a proprietary memory card out of its hat for an exorbitant price. Thats just what you get when you go Sony. If you think cutting some stars off here is going to get them to knock down the price, you don't know Sony. Start a letter writing campaign or a petition, that might net better... Read more |
