5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest SNES games ever!, February 12, 2004

This review is from: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Video Game)
I still remember when I first rented this game as a kid, and oh man was I ever addicted. I loved it so much I racked up 2 weeks worth of late fees! Well, of course I eventually bought it. Everything about this game is great and sets the standards for RPGs to come. I'll cut it down for you...

Graphics: 5/5
The graphics are perhaps one of the best things about this game, especially when it first came out. It uses the same technology that Donkey Kong used and it is at a 3rd person angle. Graphics don't make any game but it sure contributes to this one, Mario has never looked better...ever.

Sound: 5/5
Yep, the sound is also amazing. Perhaps even better than the graphics. I can still remember the sound at particular parts of the game even though I haven't played it in over a year. The boss music will really stick with you, so will the tadpole pond music. But those are just a few of the places that are memorable. I really think the sound is what did it for me... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars I FREAKING LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!, June 25, 2005

So one day, while playing Zelda, Ocarina of Time, for the hundreth time, I began thinking about back before I had the great Zelda to enjoy. The first thing that came to my mind was this Mario game. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to play it. But I have lost my old copy, and I can't seem to find it. But I will tell you, this game is incredible. The reason I'm reviewing it now is because I'm waiting for my mom to get home, so I can order it again.

First of all, the game has RPG profesionals Square (the creators of the Final Fantasy series, one of the most succesful RPG's of all time. If you didn't know that, you must, like, live in a hole or something) backing it up. This just shows that the RPG elements will be perfect, because I mean, how many Final Fantasies are there? Like, a hundred?

Second of all, the story is just great. Not too many games nowadays have great stories. There's plenty of twists and turns, and it's all quite interesting... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best games ever made!, June 30, 2001
By
This review is from: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Video Game)
Super Mario RPG is a great game. It's really challenging and fun, although I have beat it a couple of times. The graphics are great for a Super Nintendo game, and Bowser and Princess Toadstool get to play. Not only do you get to see new characters, you get to see new levels too. The story line is original and the game has lots of secrets. Although I have beaten the game, I doubt I'll ever find out all the secrets. If you want to by one of the best games ever made, buy Super Mario RPG.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not much better than Cities XL 2011, June 18, 2012
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Cities XL 2012 (DVD-ROM)
I was sad to start playing this game and see that they didn't do a whole lot to improve the game. In fact they didn't do much. The publishers of this game are just looking for a quick buck. There are many bugs in this game including several buildings that don't function properly. You have to delete the buildings or you have a city full of abandoned buildings (because there are not a whole lot of building choices and they duplicate a ton.)

To anyone looking for a good city builder I would by Sim City 4 or wait til February of 2013 and buy the new Sim City.

There are some areas of the game that can be confusing but the gameplay itself is very involving. It has to be the most realistic city simulation available.

4.0 out of 5 stars simcity "Digital Deluxe" vs Cities XL, May 2, 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Cities XL 2012 (DVD-ROM)
It's like SimCity 1 and 3 but you have to trade and people don't move in/out as fast as SimCity.

You do not connect to another city next door it's like SimCity deluxe/limited but no transportation leading into the city it's like simcity3. You setup RCI like in SimCity 1

The people in Cities XL Platinum and 2011 are very clicky just like in SimCity. God forbid you forget to give them water.

THE LOAD SPEED IS GREAT.

THE REASON I STOPPED PLAYING SIMCITY: The City size was small and too hard to keep people happy and make a profit. SimCity took way too long to load they got me for 79.99 and I would have to sit there for up to 10min. SimCity did just updated (update3 did nothing) today but it is still slow and they have not made their cities any bigger.

Main Difference between SimCity Deluxe/Limited and Cities XL.

Cities XL City sizes are much greater than SimCity ever has been.
Cities XL allows you to make the bus route... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars A decent wheel..., April 23, 2011

This review is from: Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel (Accessory)
I have been playing Forza for a few years (since Forza 2) and lately I had been getting fed up with the choppiness that came with using a joystick for steering, so I decided to look around for an XBOX360-compatible racing wheel. I remembered using a really nice Logitech force feedback wheel on the PC with Richard Burns Rally and have been chasing that gaming experience ever since. To my dismay, I found out Logitech isn't licensed to sell racing wheels for the 360, that the only (real) choices were the finicky (and expensive/hard to find) official XBOX racing wheel w/un-tunable force feeback, the super expensive Fanatic Porsche-licensed wheel, and this very basic MadCatz wireless wheel with no feedback at all. Needless to say, I couldn't justify spending more than $130 on a "toy", so I took my chances with this MadCatz wheel...

...When it showed up, I was impressed with the build quality. The wheel has a nice weight/diameter/thickness to it with good rubber grips, and the... Read more

I am a 53 years old guy, it seems very old to be playing video games but let me tell you something. after the wheel was here, I spent 20 dollars on making a wood stand for it to drive more comfortably and got a used Forzamotorsport video game and let me tell you all this is more adictive than heroine, I just can't stop racing around Hockenheim, Atlanta, indy etc. there must be an AA for this game!!!!!

My love of racing games and the upcoming release of Forza 4 made me decided to pick up an XBOX 360 since it may be a long time before the next version of Gran Turismo comes out. I'm not hardcore enough where I need a cockpit or hyper expensive wheel. I use a Logitech Playstation 3 Driving Force Wireless Force Feedback Wheel that sits in your lap and wanted to find the same for my new XBOX. Now MadCatz puts out some pretty poorly reviewed cheap accessories. But I went with the good reviews here and on the forum at GT Planet (which surprisingly has a Forza section). The wheel is well made. I believe its plastic over steel, so it feels very sturdy, much more then my Logitech wheel. Although it... Read more
