4.0 out of 5 stars Must buy for tennis fans., February 28, 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Virtua Tennis 4 (Video Game)
This is the best looking Vita game that I have played yet, the gameplay is so smooth and it looks comparable to the PS3 version of the game.

The only thing about this game that is disappointing for me is the online play, because you can't choose any options and you can't see who your opponent picks before the match. Its not really fair if you pick someone from the WTA and your opponent choose Nadal, Djokavic or Federrer.

Good thing the single player mode is really good. The game is a lot of fun and every bit as good as the PS3 version of the game. I like the challenge this game offers. Hard mode seems to be a pretty good challenge, very hard is probably too hard, but its nice that it's there, maybe one day I will be able to beat the game on very hard.

What I like about the game is that there are lots of single player modes of play and mini games.

If you're a tennis fan and own a Vita, you must buy this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best version of VT4, March 11, 2012

Compared to all the launch titles, Sega VT4 and FIFA are best of the bunch. They both show case the horsepower of awesome QuadA9+Quad PowerVR GPU. Game plays buttery smooth and online works very well. Not many players are playing online as of March'12.. so the game puts you on match with CPU till some one shows up. All the game play modes from consoles are available, they also have added Vita specific extras for two player local competitive game. It plays like a old school pong. All in a very fun package, worth every penny. I went the download route as it is only 1.2GB.

I can't explain just how much I love this game. I'm not a big sports-game person on my ps3 so I was a little hesitant to buy this title. In addition, I had not heard much about Virtual Tennis on the online blogs (when I would look up what games to buy for the Vita). When the game went on sale, I decided it was worth a shot. I started playing this game on a road trip - on easy mode World Tour and I was instantly hooked. I finished the tour in 3-4 hours.

At this point, with most games I'm done with them and never want to look at it again, but I wanted to prolong the joy VT had brought me. So I poked around the massive main menu to see what else was there to do and found the network section. Now I should mention that I'm not much of an online multiplayer gamer and when I say that I mean I've never done it. I didn't know what to expect, but I figured I would have to jump through several hoops before even getting to play anyone online. As it turns out it only took 2 clicks and... Read more
