5.0 out of 5 stars Shed a lot of light on Razer... Again..., October 2, 2011

This review is from: Razer Anansi MMO Gaming Keyboard (Personal Computers)
So, the Razer Anansi really is sheer brilliance. It's not JUST 5 macro buttons, its actually a totally of 12 because the thumb modifiers can be assigned to do anything. Everyone has been complaining about sticky keys, dim backlighting, and just the overall quality of the board... I have to disagree... I've owned many mechanical boards from Rosewill to Ducky, and I can in fact say that this being a Rubber Dome doesn't make my fingers cry and bleed. As a matter of fact, I enjoy typing on it. The keys have a nice travel distance and have an odd tactile response... not that of a mechanical but you KNOW when you press the key from what appears to be a slight flick inside.

I will continue this review by discussing some of the attributes.

Anti Ghosting- Up to 6 keys. I have about 4 keyboards that anti ghost on all 100+ keys... I dont really tell a difference. I have five fingers when playing a game, and even when typing I don't mash the word "Bonerific" all at the same... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, bad execution., July 14, 2012
This review is from: Razer Anansi MMO Gaming Keyboard (Personal Computers)
This keyboard is great in design as a minimal gaming keyboard. However the build quality is very poor. It all worked fine until I began playing with it and noticed that he b key had to be violently pushed in order to get it to function. The v was only a bit better. I popped off the keys hopping there was just a bit of debris under them, but it looked clean. It seemed to be on the board itself.

Second when gently removing the keys it was impossible to avoid scratching off the finish. Leads me to believe that the keys would quickly wear off.

Was able to return for a full refund and will shop for a different brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Razer Anansi = Brilliant, March 18, 2011
This review is from: Razer Anansi MMO Gaming Keyboard (Personal Computers)
Brought this to match my Epic Razer Naga Mouse. works as advertised. Had no problems with the lighting or function so far. easy to use and easy to program macros if your into that thing. Brilliant for the game I play, Eve Online. Using those extra buttons for my media to play, Vent, Fraps, Taking screenshots and making sure that my weapon and target locking also corresponds to the key shortcuts I like. Very stoked with my purchase. I did buy it through Razer the company itself but I think its worth my time to pump up the good rep for this too.
