These are my first headsets for online gaming and so far they are just OK...I dont think they are worth the $179 price...they seem to be basic wireless headsets with some built-in dsp (digital signal processing) presets..think equilizer for your stereo. These were great to keep the wife happy during long gaming sessions at night. These are not programmable as they say. Installed software and just gave option of MW3 presets which are already there. Just ordered dss today. All in all great headset. Pretty comfortable. Tried a set of Xp500 and we're too large for my ears. Went with these due to rechargeable battery. I was afraid of going through too many batteries. All in all great purchase but hindsight is 20/20. In retrospect I would have picked up a set of px3's and added dss. Had it for two months and it wouldn't charge anymore. Sent it back to Amazon and they fulfilled another headset next day through their warranty which was awesome! Amazon fulfilled every obligation that was required of them. Then the story continues...After recieving the next headset, it worked for another two months then guess what? It wouldn't charge anymore. At this point, the Amazon warranty was valid any longer, so I had to send it back to Turtle Beach for service through their warranty. After responding through several emails to questions that pertained to basic troubleshooting, I was asked to ship it through Fedex (paying for shipping out of my own pocket) to their service facility and it would be repaired and shipped back.
