there are some Wii games (not just old gamecube games) you won't be able to play on this unit. like, games that use a mat. there doesn't seem to be any adapters to connect them, so make sure you check what kind of connection games like that use before buying. from the nintendo site, these games either won't work or will have limited functionality-

So, Nintendo's keeping us hyped for their upcoming games and Wii U system, but what could be a better way than re-releasing the Wii for a smaller price than how much it costed back when it launched? Well....being able to play Gamecube games on it. That's right, this is a new unit with the lack of Gamecube controller inputs.

Wanna use Gamecube controllers for Wii games? Too bad. Wanna play Gamecube games? Too bad! Wanna be able to play certain Wii games that utilize the controller inputs. TOO BAD! You aren't going to get any of that with this Wii system! Why Nintendo decided to strip away all Gamecube features is extremely questionable.

If I were you, I'd go get the original Wii, which is perhaps the same price as this dud.

This controller is an inferior version. They skimped on the ports and I cannot play Dance, Dance Revolution or any older games. I feel cheated. It doesnt say anywhere on the box that this version lacks features of the real model. Stay away from this system at all costs. Nintendo should be ashamed.
